On August 29, Vine and Fig Tree hosted our first ever house concert featuring our “house band” 50 Cent Bin and visiting musicians Illiterate Light, friends of our community mate J from her Harrisonburg days, who were on tour and passing through Philly. Highlights of the evening included a special brass ensemble opener with Timothy and the 3 Aikins-Hills girls, a fantastic stripped-down set by Illiterate Light, and both bands starting out 50 Cent Bin's set with a driving, bluesy rendition of “Rain.” (Photos courtesy of Lowell Brown.)
