Vine & Fig Tree is our little experiment in intentional Christian community, urban farming, and shared family living in Philadelphia’s Southwest Germantown neighborhood.  It will consist of 4-5 households in two buildings.We try to live more sustainably on the earth, share some meals, tasks, and equipment, and have some common space. We hope to share the things we have with others who need them. Our desire is, in a paraphrase of Peter Maurin, founder of the Catholic Worker, "to make that kind of society where it is easier for people to be good." It helps a lot that there are also some awesome music makers and creative people in this community.
